A shared concert of classic and contemporary works for mixed instrumental ensembles, including an immersive program investigating the interplay of space, silence, and sound in bold new sonic territories.

 

Saturday, November 21, 2026, 8 PM, Emerson

Emory University Symphony Orchestra and Emory Wind Ensemble. Atlanta-based Bent Frequency joins the orchestra for the world premiere of a new work by composer Nina Shekar. Program also features Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances” from West Side Story.

The Emory Sound Collective closes the semester with an electrifying program of cutting-edge contemporary works, showcasing artistry, fearless collaboration, and the ensemble’s commitment to reimagining what a concert experience can be.
