The Emory University Departments of Theater and Music will be holding auditions for a musical theater course presenting a performance of Richard Rodgers’ 1962 musical, No Strings on Monday, November 20th, from 5pm – 9pm. All current students are eligible to audition.
The production will be directed by John Ammerman (Department of Theater), with musical direction by Bradley Howard (Department of Music) and Patricia Dinkins-Matthews (Department of Music).
There will be one live performance of the show on Friday, April 27th, at 8pm in Emory’s Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. The Emory Wind Ensemble, Conducted by Paul Bhasin (Department of Music), will be performing the award-winning score.
The audition sign-up sheet is located outside of Tharp Rehearsal Hall in the Schwartz Center.
Successful auditionees will enroll in both MUS 300 (Ensemble: StageWorks) as well as THEA 289 (Special Topics). These courses will serve as rehearsals and practicum for the culminating performance.
The rehearsal schedule begins in January, 2018 and concludes with the April 27th performance as follows:
